Spencer Trail
“Charles G. Spencer established a mining operation at the Colorado River near Lees Ferry. In 1910, two of his men built this mule trail to supply fuel (coal) from 30 miles away at Warm Creek. The trail switchbacks 1,500 feet in only one mile, but the views along the way only get better as you gain the top. ”

3.74 miles (6.02 km)
Hiking
A steep and strenuous ascent up a switchback trail that requires a 1,500-foot elevation gain in only one mile, but provides spectacular views of Lees Ferry and the Colorado River and, at the top, the city of Page, Glen Canyon, and Navajo Mountain.
THIS IS A DIFFICULT HIKE. DO NOT ATTEMPT IN THE HEAT OF THE SUMMER OR PLAN TO LEAVE EARLY IN THE MORNING. BRING PLENTY OF WATER.
